Despite all my pre-conceived ideas and mental images of trying to surf a soft half-inflated Li-Lo, I am leaning towards getting an inflatable SUP for a family board, mainly for my wife (beginner - approx 70-75kgs) on the flat water, but also to take on family holidays for me to occasionally surf. Also want to be able to take the kids with me (total weight 100kgs), just in the flat water for fun, not distance or anything, and I suspect either choice below would be fine for that anyway.

So, after a fair bit of consideration I have narrowed it down to:
The new (2014) Fanatic Fly Air Premium Allround, 10 foot x 33 x 190Litres or
Starboard Astro Whopper 'Fun', 10 foot x 35 x 200Litres.

Has anybody paddled both of these?

Thanks,
Scott.

Red Paddle inflatables are stiffer due to:
- The higher pressure allowed (more stitches per inch inside linking deck and bottom together)
- The two 3 foot long sail battens on the sides
