So........ we've had the 3 board quiver, we've had the 5 board quiver, we've even had some enterprising suppers with a dozen or more! This thread is to choose your favourite board of all time. It could be the one you ride the most, the one you let go but wish you still had or even the one you would choose if you could only have one board!

Great Thread!
For me hands down my 8'10" Sunova Speeed with Cdrives. I was out this morning for three hours in totally wonky conditions and had a blast. Stable in the big chop, picks up waves with good glide, fast, turns well and I can walk around on it.
Cheers

Hey FRP, can you tell me what size or type of fins you are using. My Speeed is also 8'10" but is very tippy in chop. Great in glassy conditions! I'm tempted to sell it atm but maybe different fins will get me back on it. Cheers!

Same for me! .......... I thought it might be the domed deck or that I was a bit hopeless!

Smik 8'3 Spitfire. There are more high performance boards out there, but this handles the full range of conditions better than anything I have found.

Hi Jimbo
Yes at first tippy but with time on the water now good stability. I still fall in a few times in big chop but not too much. I don't think fins really help with stability. I had medium Cdrives on today with a small trailer copy and it was blowing 20-25 knots on shore so quite choppy and we were surfing a reflected wave off of a rock wall. At 70 kg the 8'10" and 130 litres is a fairly big board and that helps I am sure. I also have been using the Blue Planet balance trainer when I am reading and that seems to have decreased the wobbles. If it is clean I might use my 8'7" Creek but 80% of the time the Speeed is the board I love to take out. I still think it looks a bit goofy but for me it works in our beach breaks from a bit overhead and down. If I could only have one board this would it.
cheers
Bob
Hi all,
First time poster on SUP forums but looong time lurker, and thought I should contribute since I've gotten so much from reading these boards.
My favourite is my One custom fish 8' x 29" x 105l. Goes like the clappers and turns easily. I've set it up as a thruster but with a cut down centre fin (I couldn't find a small centre fin in Futures) and it works for me. It's probably right on the limit volume wise for my weight and capabilities (80-85 kgs) and I still fall off occasionally in wind and chop, but for me thats a minor concession with the upgrade in performance.
I've had 3 other boards, the previous a One Surf (off the shelf) 8'5" x 32" x 118 l, before that a Sunova Surf Ecotec 9'5" x 33" x 160l, and a 10' + softop - don't know the brand. Each board was my favourite at the time as I went down in volume - except for the softop, which I fell off as a beginner and got a heel full of urchin spines. Nearly gave up for good. I gave it away to a young family, who can happily paddle around with multiple people on board, because it resembles a barge.

Good post Dazza,
And you have progressed really well. Kudos to you for helping out a family with a board too. Well played!
I should really stick to the remit and say my Flow 8'7... however I really do like my Shroom 7'6 just as much.
Why just One?? ![]()
Ok, commit... yeah my Flow 8'7...
Or... my Shroom...
I am looking at Tardys current quiver and the Placid is next on my list... Then what do I do? Get rid of the Flow?? Nooooooo! not a chance...
Hey, this is difficult...![]()
Just a quick response. I gotta go with the 8'10 Sunova STEEZE. I've had lots of boards and now have settled on a 3 board quiver; an 8'5 SPEED, a 10' , 29inch wide Style, and the 8'10 STEEZE. They are all excellent boards but if I could have just one it would be the STEEZE. Works in all conditions, turns great, nose rides like a longboard and is light and strong. A fantastic travel board since it can handle everything. Definitely the most used board in my quiver!!i??

Hands down Infinity Blurr v2! Love that model so much that I have two: Blurr v2 7'8 x 25.5" (79 liters) and 7'11 x 27.5" (90 liters)

Infinity V2 Blurr is hands down the best board I have ever ridden??

Antho what size? Last contact your back was giving you grief, nice to see OG main in the background, believe it or not I miss the place .
Really hard choosing just one!!!
Today's choice would be an 8'8 Sunova Speed. In a couple of months it'll hopefully be an 8'5.
Plenty of good boards that people are choosing!!

Hey justaddwater
Thanks for asking...lots of work done on back luckily it is now back to 100%.
I have an 8'8" V2 (as in the photos) and also two Infinity New Deals 10 x 29" and 10 x 27". The New Deal is heaps of fun in small surf and at places like Roadies and the points at Noosa.
I can understand that you might miss the West Coast. I love it especially in winter with heaps of swell and the lack of crowds that the cold brings.
Happy New Year, I hope that you score lots of excellent waves in 2020!
