didn't paddle surf the board 8'3 x 29.8 x 4.2 (124L) but I paddle on the flat bay and floats me ok at 80kg 5'6".
mate has one, loves it!! Few of us ride the ESC boards, and they go great! Reckon it would be cracker of a board! Like one for myself!!
I can't offer any experience with the turbo as I've never ridden one but I do have one of the new model ECS Blue Slabs (7x26 95L) which is similar in dimensions to some of the turbo's and same construction as the new one.
Honestly I'm still relearning technique (providing entertainment for the locals) getting used to the drop down in width (went from 31>26) but so far it seems like a quality built board which hopefully holds up better than my Naish Raptor.

Paddled a 7 3 x 26 last week only on flat little less volume than what Ive had but stability wise felt about the same.Looks great, actually went to check out the slab but this caught my eye ,outline looks a little more refined .
Yeah Im gone think ill make a call and discuss it with the finance minister when it arrives

Rode the 8'3" at Merimbula a few weeks back. Was one of 6 boards I demoed, and the best one I rode all day.
(it was choppy 2 ft slop, and I'm 80kg)
I was at ESS when the first delivery came out of the box about 3 weeks ago,
First impressions, good weight and balance.
Design influences to the naked eye :-
- sunova speed nose,
- sunova channels and hips
- the deep carbon weave pattern and colouring
its a bitsa ...........
Price seemed pretty cheap/competitive
Be interested to hear how it performs.

Surprised at that I haven't seen a sunova in the flesh but from what I have seen I'd call it a completely different animal barring the squared of nose ,which even then is a fairly different shape
will for sure put up a few words on how it goes once I take it for a spin hopefully early next week can't wait

Interesting comments on here. Loving the feedback but.
The turbo is definitely a "out there" board but funny thing is it works! Plus with the new Vflex construction the flex is amazing. You can preload off the bottom for release off the top! Surfs way better than the previous carbon version. I ride the 7'3 one as a Tri & love it.
If if anyone would like to check them out I'll have a 8'3 at SUP gear Australia demo this Sunday. Or if anyone is in Newcastle I can arrange a demo on the 7'3 7'6 8'3 possibly 8'8 or even the 9'5.

have you got it yet?most run as a quad , i always did but gone bag to tri again... as for merimbula.. how could you not see me? had the most colourful and busiest display there. haha
So managed to get a few waves over the last couple of days.Only small but some fun racy little beachies.Only had it running as thruster so far but dont think id be inclined to change anytime soon.
At 7 3 x 26 its a little rocking horse in between waves but a little rocket on a wave.Paddles into waves nicely ,gets up and boogies with a bit of wall to pump and felt really good to properly hit a few closeout sections.
Even gave myself a hoot after one 
Its goot me frothing for next surf
