Can anyone give me some help on a downwind/ flat water sup. At the moment i am riding a whopper 9'5 but am looking at buying a second hand board for flat water paddling. Have done a bit of research and still cant really make any real decision. I.m 95kgs would be using it in the Rockingham wa area . I.m not going to be going in any comps but would like to catch a few ocean waves and go for a long paddle without doing the real hard yards.
Thanks

I reckon try to demo as many boards as you can to find out what feels and goes the best for you

Hey Brown,
Was in the same situation last year and the same location.... I ended up with a 14'x28 Coreban Dart from the great blokes at the North Freo Stand Up Surf Shop which was perfect for Rockingham, Point Peron, Mandurah etc. Long flatwater paddles and fun in the small waves too. I also demo'd a 14x28 Allstar and that was spot on as well. I'm about the same weight as you.... wasn't really interested in competitive paddling but am really enjoying the 14 footer....

I"ve just listed a 2015 sic bullet for sale today on perth sup facebook page.

& I just live down the road and welcome to take it for a spin.

Not a flatwater board but loves the bumps and easily goes cruising also.
