Does this need any repairing?

Hi folks, does this little knick on the rail need any kind of fix up? First time board and not sure if this is anything that I should be worried about?

Personally I'd get it fixed. Just buy some solarez from any good surf/sup shop and do it yourself. And then maybe invest in some rail tape to help prevent future nicks from the paddle etc

Yes, this pic give the impression that there is a drop of glue above the board surface.
Is that an optical illusion? Is matter missing or added?

Damage like that is what ding-tape is for..

Thanks everyone for the advice. Sorry about the photo. To clarify it is a little chip taken out of the outside layer of the board that you can see. Will look into the solarez and rail tape

Then I would not repair it. You will make others.

Once you have progressed, you will hit less hard. Then you can repair all the chips at once (solarez + a paint of the same color + UV varnish). Or repair before selling it.

Looks like paint chip, I'd leave it. If you must, yes solarez. (Epoxy version)

For gods sake don't use rail tape as if you get a proper smash the repairer will charge you twice as much to fix - it is a mongrel to remove - and then try and kinda match.

Just tape your paddle properly with electrical tape and look after your board on dry land.
