Hey guys,

Buying my first board and have looked into quite a few.
I don't have an endless supply of cash so I'm going for the cheaper range of the market (for my first board anyway).
I'll only be out on the flat doing yoga with it so don't really need anything too fancy.

Here are the ones I've narrowed it down to:

Option A - www.thesurfboardwarehouse.com.au/sups/yoga/waterborn-simplicity.html
* $599.00
* 11' and 34 wide 5 thick, comes with 3 fins
* 6 month warranty
* features a storage facility with a six point, elasticised nylon cargo strap near the tail
* comes with a Go-Pro camera mount installed (this is kinda cool but not a selling point for me)

Option B - https://grecosurf.com.au/store/products/the-ark/
* $499.99
* 11' 31.5 wide 4 3/4 thick, comes with 1 fin
* 90 day warranty
***deck pad is an extra $99.99

Can anyone help me out?

I am leaning more towards Option A but just not sure as Option B seems to be made with different materials (not sure if they are being fancy to confuse people like me).

TIA :)

By the looks of it option b is basically a soft top with a bodyboard bottom brought a surfboard version of this type of materials for niece didnt last long. Option a is from a large well known store and ive heard pretty good things about their customer service

I'd go for option 1, I had the 10.5 x 32 waterborn as my first board a few year back and as a first board I couldn't fault it

Sammy, option one is the go. I haven't used that board but my surf sups are other boards from the same company. Their service is second to none and they stand by their warranty. I had a minor issue with one of my previous boards and one email and 2 days wait (the soonest I could get back to the store) and I got a brand new one exchanged no problems.
If I could give a bit more advice, if you can spare the extra $$, definitely look at their "halo". It'll be good for yoga and flat water too in the bigger boards but if you ever get bit by the urge to try some small surf they are great for that. Also they are near indestructible and definitely worth the $$ and on sale too. Check out "the surfboard warehouse" on Vimeo, they have a video they trying to break it and it's pretty impressive. The halo will last you forever! Good luck and welcome to sup!

If you are unsure on what to get then maybe come and demo some cheaper Sup options here.
