Hi Guys

I am after a new board. I am a beginner and brought a Naish 11'6 SUP 18 months ago however ended up selling it after 12 months or so. I found it really stable and easy to paddle however I struggled in the waves. It was cumbersome to manoeuvre and I found it hard, despite its size to get onto waves and turning was difficult (maybe due to single fin? or just me )

It was also a pain to handle outside of the water and really did feel big!

I have then been using a 9'8 Starboard which I find much less stable, but way more fun on a wave. Also easy to handle out of the water.

I have to return this board soon so would like some advice on what to replace it with. Ideally something second hand however there is just so much choice!

What I would really like to do is have a board that I can paddle for fitness, but also jump on small perth waves. I am about 75kg

Any advice appreciated!

Give the Angulo 9'8 Surfa a go, its good fun on a wave and I think you will be surprised by it's stability. You can try one from The Stand Up Surf Shop at North Freemantle I know Mike has one on demo down there.

Hi there. Im 70kgs. The Starboard 9'8 x 30 like you said is great for just paddling around the river and Perth beaches. Picks up small waves and also big waves. I rode this board for a year and got so much out of it.
Enjoy
