Not sure about the 10'6 mate, but I had a new Barry Bennet single fin back in the mid 70's that went well, thanks
I bought one for my girlfriend 2 years ago. It was the best value board I could find at the time as I didn't want to spend a fortune. I have a Fanatic Fly 10'6" so it has been an interesting comparison. My board has a lot more volume but that's ok cause she is smaller than me so it balances out. The finish is beautiful with hers being a bamboo deck. It came with rail tape already applied. Over the 2 years there have been a few bubbles show up under the deck pad, nothing that a pin and some glue won't fix though.
Handling wise it turns nicely in the waves but being a biggish board it's never going to be a snappy turning thing. We mainly use it for flat water paddling and for that it is perfect. Very stable, glides along just as nice as my Fanatic. Handles choppy water well too. It seems to have more rocker than my Fly.
I certainly would recommend it
