Looking for some feedback or advise on SUP Surfing at Balian Bali
I am very familiar with the East coast breaks and have been coming here for 10 years
I never taken my SUP up to Balian and was wondering what and if there are any issues
Best times or point of view would be appreciated

Currently in Bali now and very small waves on the East Coast so was considering taking a run up to Balian and or going there another time

Any experiences welcome
Cheers

I suped there 4 years ago. While not the angriest wave on Bali, it is grunty enough and quite a busy condensed line up
. I paddled 800 m east one day and found another ok break with only one guy on it. Balian is a nice spot all the same as far as Bali goes. Worth kite if you are that way inclined.

Great spot for SUP surfing, especially if you like going left. Tends to get blown out later in the day so earlier the better, also picks up a lot more well than most of the other breaks north of Ulu's so can get to a decent size. If your staying up there you can sometimes also get a great late afternoon surf with smaller crowds if the wind eases up.
