Really curious if anyone has ridden the new 8'5 or smaller Allwave in Carbon. I know you have them...

Had a quick surf on the 7'11 x 31 (112L) (I'm around 90Kg) allwave thanks to the guys from NSW (Josh/JB?) doing a demo last friday (thanks for the beer ) in really small right hand reef waves and it felt pretty nice - slashy and a bit slidey on a the bottom turn and cuttie (bigger fins may have helped this) - very thin and reactive.

Seems it would be good for 1-4 foot not so power full waves but my personal feeling is you may want something a little more rockered / narrow for bigger days / more powerful sucky waves (didnt get a chance to compare with the 7'10 x 32 Naish)

It was ceratinly nothing like the corky stiff older allwave that I had a surf on in the past sounds like they are closer to the pro wave rocker and double concave / rear V.

I liked it and it would def be a good small wave board. Again this is from 1 short surf so I wouldnt take too much from it.

But the RR price scared me too much to ever consider purchasing one

Thanks russh... I am looking for something for juicy, smaller days that I don't want to ride my 10'6 Alana
Something with a bit of comfort, but still gets around.

My Prowave works in everything, but I like to change it up to stay fresh.

and yeah Kiwi... I AM greedy. At 66, there is no holding back. I gotta do all I can do, before something breaks... I'm sure sliding gracefully along, is somewhere in my future.... but not yet! (I also sold a board... so fair exchange)

Price wise, I can get it a lot cheaper than the LE32's. I tried an 8'8 LE32 but it felt boggy in smaller surf.... super stable, but bad paddler.
I'm hoping the reduced rocker and less curvy outline of the new Allwave will be a happy medium.

Besides.... I love the color of the new LTD
