Hey gents and ladies. I need some more advise please. Has anybody tried the adventure paddle board allrounder 10.6 I am comparing it to the star board whopper at about the same dimensions. I can get the Adventure board new for about the same price as a second hand Star board. I am looking for a versatile all rounder and would like to be able to ride it in up to shoulder high surf but mainly to cruise around.
Cheers
I got one and its a fun shape to ride (I am 90kg X 6'0ft) on the flat water its a gr8 and I can put the dog on it (23kg) and its still stable
out on the waves its still a stable table, like paddling a boat into the waves, if u like long boarding drop knee turns r a must :) ,the only thing it could use is another two fins.
for waves over 3ft It likes to bounce around grabbing rails, so best staying on the small stuff with this one
PS, throw away the stock fin and get sum thing, any thing, better
We bought one of the Whoppers as a family board. One that could take a beating and keep family and friends away from our personal stash. Couldn't be happier and have now bought another. Easy to paddle around with nieces and nephews on. The kids love it and its great fun in the surf. Super stable, glides really well and catches everthing. I often take it out especially in choppy conditions. It will handle anything from 1' to 6'. Even my brother in law with 2 left feet, 56 and been in the sea a couple of times in his life is learning to surf. We bought the ones with full deck pads and really pleased we did. I also wouldn't be worried about buying second hand. They really are indestructible.
