Had my skate about 2 months now reckon it could be a keeper , may have finally found the perfect one board quiver for me .
thing I like about it - light easy to carry around and not a mark on it after 2 months so seems well built
- paddle out through the surf - punches through really well ( fun experience paddling out past short boarders that were struggling )
- standing out the back in wind / chop - really stable - rail shape allows the board to sit in the water not on top of it so no corkiness
- on the wave great fun , enough volume and fish shape for the smaller windswell days but really gets going on the bigger days
things not rapt in - lifts up handle - traps water and sand and a bugger to get out , I reckon those that grab the board by the handle in the surf could suffer major hand / finger injuries with hands / fingers getting trapped , it's something with the potential to break at some stage - personally would much prefer a standard ledge handle .
- is supplied with a quality set of fins ( using mine with Jackson close fins thinking of trying a set of moonrakers) , but being a similar board to the jimmy Lewis Kwad would love to see it set up as a quad
Agree with you on handle, although still works and had no safety issues with it.
I am happy with stock fins, had no reason to change as I like the way the board turns and it's fast.
The construction is solid but not as tough as a starboard brushed carbon.
Cheers
