Just received the NEW 2017 Jimmy Lewis catalogue in time for the next shipment of boards arriving in December....There's some fresh editions to the 2017 Range with a couple of cool surprise models coming in the New Year....Best of all is the NEW sizes in Jimmy's best All-Round surf sup....The Striker! There's now a new 10'0x31"x4.2"(151.9L) & an 8'5x30"x4"(116L) model...Even better ALL new Striker's for the 2017 Range will now come with added Quad boxes to make it even more versatile! If I could only ever have one board it would be my Striker!

Then there's NEW sizes in Jimmy's performance Sup's....The Super Tech & World Wide....Real "Surf" shapes that really "Surf"! With 49 years of Surfboard shaping experience, Jimmy knows how to shape a board that works!
Jimmy's surf sup's are so light & strong that you don't even need to spend the extra money or getting a Carbon model...Unlike other brands Jimmy's JL Signature Sandwich Construction & Carbon Sandwich Construction are almost identical other than 1 full wrap of Carbon...

Gee, the striker with quad setup, the guy that thought of that must be a genius
Gotta be one of the best allrounders on the market and even better now with quads

Jimmy Lewis has great boards indeed. I just ordered a new Sidewinder 14'X25'' after reading great reviews about it and testing one.

Good move on the quad set up...anyone tried the Striker as a true thruster?

I would have been sold on the 10 ft Striker if it was 30 wide....I think the 9 5 suits 31 wide but if I went longer I would want narrower.

Congrats, good choice. I recently bought a 14x23 Sidewinder - but I reckon the 25" wide version is a better option than the 23" for the vast majority of people and uses. You need to be pretty light to get the most out of the 23 and it is a LOT tippier.

The 10ft Striker looks like a really fun and versatile board, and you just can't beat the JL construction for the quality/cost ratio.

Hi Slab,
I only ride my 8'11 as a TRUE thruster with Futures Vector side fins & a 4.5" Futures tail fin....Surfs like a shortboard off the tail but still nose-rides for those Point Breaks or hang 5's.....
There's a lot of interest in the new 8'5" model so can't wait to get it in the water & give it a run when it arrives in the next few weeks....

Thanks...I might try my 9 5 as a thruster......running it with the stiock side bites and 7 inch middle fin...goes fine.

Thanks for that. I had been to the website, but could only see pics of the 2 plus 1 Strikers, not the new ones with the quad options (the ones you mention at the start if this thread), and then that made be wonder whether the prices were for the new ones.... (I guess you are saying the prices are updated, so that's nice...) All good, will go back for another, more thorough look.
Thanks again...

All good. Thanks for the replies. I'm enjoying all the JL posts. That board build series was one of the best things I've seen on the Breeze. Cheers.
