Still got two surf tech Lairds and love them but when they die I'll be definitely be looking at one of these . I hope they've got their construction problems sorted

The dimensions have changed a bit, check out new Spec's below.
I'm with you smh, have the 2015 10'6" & loving it with no construction issues but would upgrade to the 2016 model for sure.

9'0x29.5"x4.0 113 litres 8.4 kg 7.5 kg

Sweet looking boards! Love the profile... Not much rocker, relatively thin rails, really nice thin tail, I reckon they will fly!

They're wider than the old surftech models. My 10'6 is 29 1/2 but pretty much the same volume as the new model 10'6 . I'd probably look at the 10 footer. I really like the way they're thinned out and the low rails . Just like a blown up long board.

David Sewell the Aus distributor mentioned around $2500 for PVC, carbon $$$$.
Again that wasn't set in concrete only a ball park price at this stage.

On a different website the numbers are the same except for the litres on the 10'6" at 142:
NAME CONSTRUCTION COLOR LENGTH WIDTH THICKNESS VOLUME WEIGHT
SURFER SEMI-PVC + BAMBOO SKY 10′ 6″ 32.0″ 4.30″ 142 22.49lbs

I also have the Pearson Laird Surftech 10'6" - a great board.

So these new boards are wider and lower volume and lower weight, so must be more thinned out.
Mine, the surftech, was already very good.

But, Wow, I'd like to try one of these brand new ones,
yeah maybe the 10' footer with the wider 31" width.

They seem very generous in width....my 10 footer is 28.5 wide and I could go much narrower.. Seems us smaller guys get forgotten about with some board models.....

Yes, the last combo of 4 fins was more a Twinzer set up more than a Quad. IMO that past Twinzer is more accurate fin set up on SUP rather than Quad , thruster or 2+1 like this new one.

And I'm a 85kg (90 in a wet wetsuit) and the new 10' and 10'6 are too wide for my liking.

I'll stick with my existing 10 x 29 until it dies and then go custom.

I have to say that my present Laird 10 with soft deck and suspect build

and browning resin is still the SUP that I've enjoyed the most.
