Schnoz looks different/lower than the current one and the rails looks rounded all the way to the nose...
Or is it just a team edition custom?

Is it my imagination, or were most of the people riding Naish boards in that race using 2014 models rather than 2015 ones?
Pretty sure that's a proto..
I've heard Naish have something special coming.. They do heaps of prototypes and testing so they get it right..
Re the 2014 boards.. There's lots of older Naish DW boards still out they because they work so well.. and not everyone can have the latest and greatest.. ![]()
DJ is right, there is some really cool surprises coming for 2016.
This time of the year a lot of the Naish team riders are testing and re-testing prototypes, the R&D department are always refining.
Shhh, but keep it quiet!! you'll plenty in a month or so.

I seen that the bloke that came 2nd in the race was on a board shaped by an Aussie. Not bad in the Islands.
JB hopefully Naish's "Penetrator" won't be on the list of the cool surprises.
It's design is quite perplexing...

Ok.. Thanks for the pics and welcome to the breeze.. ![]()
There are heaps of odd old prototype boards around.. and I think that's what they are..
The one on the left looks like a proto of the current 12'6" Glide.. and the one on the right looks like proto of the 11' Touring Glide..
From what I've heard the new Jav will be something special.. and a bit different.. But not Penetrator different..
I cant cant wait to see pics of the real thing.. ![]()
keep you eyes peeled to the Naish Australia Instagram (@naishaustralia) between the 9th-10th June, and I'm sure you'll see some real insight ![]()
As DJ MEntioned, those look like R&D samples. Naish does an amazing job of testing and developemtn, and there is heaps of prototype boards that continually get tested. No idea is ever thrown away, just sometimes refined and refined and then refined again.

Dunno about the 2016 Jav, but what I'd like to see for 2016 is a (perhaps mildly tweaked) GX version of the current 14x29 Glide GS that is instead in the 27-28" wide range. Bread and butter stuff for most ocean paddlers.
