I'm 6'6" 95kgs and looking to upgrade from my 2014 14' hrs fanatic falcon to a carbon model or something different like the 2015 all star. Has anyone ridden both and if so is the all star more stable than the falcon? I ride a mix of flat water, ocean and have started to downwind. Looking for the most stable board due to my height.

I've paddled both.. I'm also your weight.. and I found that the Allstar was more stable.
I paddled both as well and in Flat water and chop the Allstar is a lot faster and imo more stable as well due the longer waterline.
I have no experience with DW but in breaking waves the Falcon is easier to get out and riding back in due the volminious nose that just seem to go over everything while the Allstar is more about punctering through the waves.
Although I love my 2014 Allstar12.6 I Personally prever the fatter nose (that the older Starboard Races use to have).

Im not that tall but i am 94kg.
If you want to start downwinding there is no other board that even comes close to the falcon. It will teach you to downwind and makes it fun and easy. It may feel like a pig in the flat but how much fun does anyone have in flatwater? Downwinding is where its at!! If your struggling on the 27 falcon try going to the 30. takes a bit more effort to muscle onto runs but when it runs it takes off and is easy to control.
Also the high volume boards like the falcon are the way to go for the bigger guys.
Rjk - demo'd the 30 falcon and it was an hallelujah moment. for someone my height, weight and ability it is amazingly stable and totally different to the 27 with my dimensions. perfect board IMO - going to go the carbon to offset the increased volume.

Yew!!! glad to see someone else as stoked as me on these boards. its not a sales pitch, i honestly believe every paddler should start on the falcon. Funnest and easiest dw board out there!!!
stoked for you ben
Second the falcon. I have a 2014 HRS falcon 12'6" 27". Abit heavy in the flat but great for downwinders where I think that nose does really elevate it to a new level as it just bounces over chop. If I had the extra dosh I would have grabbed the carbon.
