After demoing the 9,10 and 9,5 allwaves I was very impressed with there stablity for there size .I had no problems paddling them around in Darwins choppy light onshore mush.Im 95kg and only had about a weeks suping experience at waikiki for a couple of hours a day but bye the end I had no worries catching and riding waist high full waves as I was on big 10 ft plus boards and ive been surfing for 20 years .I was thinking i might be able to get the 9,1 allwave and put up with the wobbles for a while and if anyones ridden the hero how does it compare with it for stability as Im a newby and dont want life to be to much of a struggle.I will be spending my time between Darwin and exmouth so the sub 9ft is all they will take on the planes so hopefully i can get away with these smaller boards as my first board

Hi I am 95kgs and my local Fanatic dealer reckons I should try the 8'11" allwave which is still 150l of volume and 31" wide. I am on a 10 x 32 Honu now and feeling very comfortable and am wanting to step down for more wave zip. The other board I am looking to try is the 9'6" prowave at 153l or maybe the 9'3", but I think it will be too tippy for me at 130l odd. I am also looking to try out the naish mana 9'5" as another possibility. Waves here in Perth seem to suit the allwave more often than not. Best advice I have got so far is to try out a number of boards before buying. The local dealers are very happy to help here.

Hi I have ridden the hero a fair bit mostly in smaller mushy waves and it is a very stable board but I found it quite sluggish in small waves, I reckon it would be good in more solid waves but for Darwin surf I don't think it would be so good, maybe the 9'1 all wave would be the go, whilst it is relatively short for a first board it does have the volume and width to make it easy enough to paddle, just watch out for crocs

Hi Jiggler
I`m an 95kg and riding all kind of waves on wavePro 9'3. However, i was 90 kg when i bought it. And i can tell it felt better. ;-)
So if waves in your area are "fast" and powerfull 9'3 would be fine. If waves are "mellow" not really steep 9'6 could be better. Or 150L alwwave instead of 9'3 proWave.
