Think I'm going to need a longer paddle too when I get mine...going to be very high off the water when getting back on that tail in the swell...

PTWoody, what's the width of the 14'? I'm still diciding between 26,5 snf 25,5. Since I would use it for race and crusing I will go with the sendvich glass construction. I'm 83kg and 174 and currently I have Fanatic falcon 12'6'' and stability on this one is not a problem. just want 14' one and volume is the question 273 vs 293L on all stars.

My 14 is the 25.5" version. I think it's super stable although I am only 65kg or so. The glass construction is terrific value for money and the weight is much less than the old AST boards of previous years.

I paddled the Allstar14x26.5 and the Fanatic14x24.75 as well the 14x24flatwater (and own a Sprint14x26) all full carbon and with your weight the volume won,t be an issue on any of these boards.
I,m 90kg and was comfortable on all of them in calfhigh chop.

Thanky guys for respond.
So I came to final desicion:
Starboard All Star 14'0"x26.5" (Sandwich Glass) (293L) or Fanatic Falcon HRS 14?0? ? 27.25? (294L).
It will be upgrade to my NSP touring 14'x 28 1/8" and addition to Falcon carbon 12?6? ? 27.25?.
I will have few races in summer, mainly in lakes in Austria and Germany and some touring in Adriatic sea.

Your thoughts which to choose?

Keep SUPping!

If you were going to be doing a significant amount of downwinding then I'd suggest the Fanatic (I assume you mean the ocean Fanatic). But for flat water racing the All Star would probably be faster. The only question in my mind about the All Star concerns durability. Starboard use PVC-type pipe similar to what plumbers use for the deck drains, and I am told by shapers that it is hard to get that material to bond well to fibreglass. A friend of mine had these drains let in water after only a few weeks of ownership. So it would be wise to check the weight of your Starboard at regular intervals to make sure it is the weight it should be.
