Looking at buying a Starboard Pocket Rocket and selling my Fanatic 9'3" pro wave. I am 73kgs and although the Fanatic in my opinion is great board, I am now finding it a bit to long, but I still need something that is stable in the NE winds on the Central Coast and can handle a decent 4' to 5' point break as well as sloppy beach breaks. Anybody seen a review on the 2013 pocket rocket.

Hi there Ben
I'm your weight and ride the 2013 106L 8'5 x 29.
I use it in small to big surf and find this board is very stable.

Hi Ben, I have not tried the pocket rocket but I am riding the carbon 8'2 wide point. Im 75kg and 5'9". Ive found it to be a great board so far and is very suited to the typical east coast conditions that you mentioned. You might want to check one of these out as well if possible.

I tried the PR & really liked it. I'm 6'2 102kg & was surprised how stable & fun to surf!

Hey Scott, the Starboard rep is telling me that if I am under 90 kgs, the the 8'2" widepoiwont wont turn rail to rail very well. Are you finding the board does OK.

In regards to the 8'5" pro wave, i will try an demo one, just don't want a board that end's up to much hard work in bumpy conditions.
