Hi all,
I'm hoping for some opinions on buying my first board. As far as conditions, I'm in Western Florida, land of flatwater rivers and calm beach surf (Gulf). I'm hoping to find a board primarily for touring and camping, so additional volume is a must. I'm 6'3'' (1.9m) 205lbs (92kg), so the board will need to support a 'heavier' rider.
Quality is really of my utmost concern, as this will be a board I plan to use frequently.
Two of the boards recommended to me were the Naish 12'6 Glide (GS), Naish Glide 12' Tour, Naish Glide 14', Naish One 12'6, and the Amundson Tr-2 12'6. Thoughts on any of the above?
Thank you all so much in advance for any feedback.
Hi there and welcome to the Breeze.. ![]()
I'm 6'4" and 95kgs.. and I love my 12'6" Glide.. IMO you can't go wrong with this board.
Here's a short vid that I took not long ago showing it.

DJ, thank you so much. Any thoughts on a 12'6 vs. a 14'? I'm very partial towards the Naish Glides. I've only heard good things about them.
As far as choosing between the 12'6" and 14' Glides .. I have both and because you want the board mostly for touring and camping I'd think the 12'6" would be the better board because it's wider and much more stable allowing you to carry more gear on board with you in choppy water.. If tippyness and choppy water is not an issue then the 14' Glide might be a better choice.
