Any big guys running the Ace 14 x25? I want to go narrower than my Allstar 14x28 but feel like I need the volume. Seems like all the narrow board are pretty low volume. I have an older 14x27 Ace and find it very stable.
hi mate
i haven't paddled a lot of 14 footers but yes the aces are very stable boards
depends what you want it for really, if it is for flat water and you have reasonable balance i don't imagine it would be a problem at all,if it was for the ocean it might be balance wise, I have about 15kg on you and i paddle a 14X23.5 ace for flatwater and the stability isn't an issue, but saying this if i had found a 25 wide ace i would've probably brought that for more of an allround board as the 23.5 is not that much fun for me when it gets a bit messy but i never brought it for that anyway, volume wise the aces have alot of volume for skinnier boards (believe my 23.5 has almost 300l)
if possible try and demo one if you can to see if it suits you

Thanks. That is great. The Ace is not very common in my part of the world so hard to find one to demo. Sounds like the 25 would be perfect for the 5-10km races in fairly sheltered water. And maybe if my balance hold it will be fine all the time. If not, I will certainly keep the wider Ace that I have for the really nasty days. Appreciate the response.
