Open ocean /flat water

12,6 boards vs 14 ? I'm unsure what width

I'm looking at one for myself and am thinking of

JP
Fanatic

Lots of variables to consider. Where are you going to paddle? Flatwater or Ocean. Wind or not. Your ability. Your stability and balance. Weight? Height? Type of paddling you've been doing. Both JP and Fanatic have great boards and their flatwater boards differ greatly from their race or ocean boards., However, before anyone can offer suggestions they'll probably need a little bit more info.

90kg will be used in all conditions ocean and flat water

From what I gather the fanatic race is there all rounder for all disciplines

I think they have another for dedicated flat water only

So many choices. Naish javelin 14 x 28 is a great board for your intended use or Glide 14 x 29. Or you may consider the 2016 NSP DC 14 x 28 Downwind Ocean Race.

I am your weight and much prefer 14 over 12 6.

Thank , I don't want to be limited to just flat water as I understand it the falcon is very popular for all disciplines
But what width 27.. 29.. in the falcon race

At 90kg maybe a touch less I think the 27 .. might be on the limit

I am guessing 90kg paddler would get the 29..
