Hi All, another Newbie question I'm afraid. I'm 6'3 and about 100kg with very little experience but been bitten by the SUP bug. There is no where near to demo the 2 boards I think might be suitable so wanted the forums advice please. I suspect I will be doing mainly flat water with occasional small waves. Plus be useful to get the wife and kids up and about as well if they get hooked.

This really is a great forum and thanks for any advice

Great choice of boards.. I'm also your height and weight and I bought the Odysseus.. I think it's the better board..

The 10'10" Nalu has a better handle and looks great.. and maybe a better deck pad.. But I think you'll find you're at the upper limit at your weight..

In very calm conditions the 10'10" is probably the better flat water paddler but the Odie is noticeably better when it gets a bit choppy..

Hi Brent
the 10'10 is heavier than the Odysseus .10' 10 has channel .so harder to turn .all so the Odysseus is cheaper .both have 200 litres .
and possible surfs better after watching DJ vid ,I would go the Odysseus .10 mana is also a good choice ,@ 190 litres .
surfs better than nalu and odysseus ,it has 3 fins instead or 1 , but the others are better in flat water . First board .go the Odysseus then buy a mana later. .odysseus is amazingly light for its size at 11.8 kgs . Enjoy .
