hi guys,
looking at buying a foil off these guys for wake (tow) use and maybe wing foil & surf use down the track
i've emailed them & all seems legit, has alum mast & composite swap-able fins - crazyfoil.com/
just wondering if anyone knows anything about them - seem a lot cheaper than any others even with $100US postage
thanks :)
Yeah they are crazy cheap and yeah seem ligit , that is one ugly foil but pretty well anything works behind a boat. You'll want their biggest front wing 30" and that's still pretty small 1175cm2 ( no good for the wing foiling). Can't comment how it would go on a wing foil or surf but doesn't look promising. If you really want to get into winging or surf you really should look at second hand brand name gear at least that way you know you can get the different wings which bolt straight on in the future that actually proven and work.
thanks, appreciate the feedback & you're prob. right - get what you pay for i guess
I had been thinking slingshot until google brought these guys up - is slingshot as good as any of the majors for long term versatility and quality or would you suggest another brand ahead of them ?
cheers,
Slingshot ,Naish, Neil Pryde can't go wrong ,there are heaps more but they are the major ones reasonably priced and
have wings for everything that are interchangeable.
Canadian here! They are just as invisible here as there. Their name came up years ago as they were the only company other than zeeko making canard style. One local rider said he had one but I never saw him or heard reports and now he is riding something else. I'd steer clear.
I rode slingshot first 2 years. They are solid and interchangeable and cheap, work well, great starter, if you get bit by the bug then upgrade later.
ga55... There are CDN sellers here - it may be worth a WTB.
