Quick write on the 6'0" YOB wing Foil Board 2021 for paddle downwinding. I have been foiling for a few years now and after wingding downwinding last summer I decided this year I would chase the dream and give the paddle a go. I tried a few boards over winter while learning but wanted a shorter board and the only option I could find available in Perth was YOB. This board is designed more as a wing board but I was blown away by how well it works downwind, good stability when standing still, paddles up and releases really easily and touchdowns are smooth and pops back up with little loss of speed. In a little over a month I have progressed down to the Armstrong HS1250 and now getting up easily and consistently with my best run without falling is over 10km. At 6'0"x27.5'x115l I would highly recommend this board to anyone around me weight (80kg), or the 6'5" if a bit larger, with the latest generation of foils and board downwinding is becoming easily achievable.
Clip of it in action below. Not sure how to embed the video sorry

Impressed bud. I'm fighting this one like I did winging - but I know it's only a matter of time. More gear ffs!
well im very happy to read this cause i already have one of these boards. Im currently letting it teach me how to wing but hopefully will progress to the SUP downwind eventually.
The wing is a great stepping stone to SUP downwinding, good way to learn to read the bumps. When you take up the paddle its one less thing to worry about
