...yesterday went for a land sup, took a tumble at modest speed & scored a chipped elbow and a one of those open wounds down to the bone (apparently can't be stitched, has to heal from the inside out, can't get it wet) plus sundry gouges in hands, knee, hip and ankle. No SUP for a coupla weeks.

Pads from now on.

[the ER doc asked me how I did it..."You crashed off a what??? a skateboard?? What was your date of birth again??? ]

^^^^^ ouch i copped that last year with the docs when i snapped my ankle and tore half yhe ligaments from the bone female doc said you blokes are all the same,especially old fools like me the male docs were like how many stairs did you try to jump hope the healing goes quicker than expected for you mate,luck is a bitch learn a karate and learn to fall some gross pics would be nice.

I spent the better part of a year at Sports Physio getting the Achilles tender working properly after a skateboarding accident at the Skate park..

You get used to the grow up jokes

Try paw paw ointment it realy helps with skin regeneration and its good for scars after the wound has healed.Its in all chemists and its cheap as chips too.

I had the same thing- concrete hurts heaps, but it's also massively rewarding....this is my hipper from the park
