You caught up with him....Nice.

I see on insta @foil_perth just got the B series axis gear, hard to tell for sure from that but I'm guessing thats what he was using.

Yeah I believe it was the 980 wing. Brand new. As you can see, just blasting downwind!

I've tried that Axis 980, it has insane glide which you can clearly see. He's using a cut down 460 flat stab too.

Armstrong, challenge accepted ?

Awesome. Out of interest, how hard do you need to paddle back onto the foil if you drop off the foil?

As Susan Foil has been known to say #youfallyoudie
Basically he has to paddle back into the shore and catch another wave there.
it would be almost impossible to paddle up onto the foil just using the swell.

Easy on the 1250 for someone with his skills. Drew down here can pump non-stop forever with no wind, so if he had swell and wind behind him he could do that no probs. But Drew prefers to ding on the 1050 so he can turn on the waves. Axis challenge accepted??

But I heard that riding high aspect foils is too difficult for everyone? How is this possible?

Well I'm just a fat old bastard but I don't mind the HA Axis foils.
Great fun out there today with the 900 front and 460 tail.

Yes, I was cheating though and I had a motor - well wing anyway

That is a fair run!

I wouldn't mind doing a big downwinder on my Fliteboard just for s***s and giggles. I've got 25km range going flat out, so would be interesting to see if backing off the throttle on swell would increase that haha
