I have found some discussion of this board but I am would like more of an idea of what they are like if anyone has used one. I realize they are somewhat "ancient" at this point as most people are going smaller and smaller.
I am light at 135 lbs and have kited and windsurfed.
I am wondering how they stand up to foiling, are they strong enough?
I am a beginner, is it a good board for this? There is a group of us that would like to start foiling.
It would be used for flatwater with a wind wing. No surf.
Thanks, John
It goes great as both a foil board and a SUP. A perfect option if you can only have one board and want to do both. It'd be great for wing surfing I would think - with or without a foil attached.
Buy dedicated foil board , you will never normal sup surf again. I know as I went thru the same and it just put me back 6 months f#@king around with bad equipment. Your light and so many more foil boards suited to you and with start of spring lots of boards will come up on seabreeze as we go down in size, I am about to list Naish 135lt 7'6 foilboard which finally got me going after using cross over boards that are designed for surfing not foiling, you may as well just convert an existing SUP as its the same thing. JMHO its addictive.![]()

I disagree and we're not all talented as some people here or thier out almost everyday foiling thier brains out. Lets not forget some early pioneers of foiling started on converted sup or surf boards and 2nd generation dual purpose sup surf foil board (2+1) and now they are our master foilers and we wish oneday we can be as good as them or at least get to that level of nirvana ![]()
Sunova board is my first choice in quality & construction.
Cannot see a problem with the 2 in 1 board.
I started with the Sunova 7" 6' - 2 in 1 board & loved it. Was a board that stayed in my car all the time, on way home from work would always find somewhere to get wet - foil or thruster fins. Good in that sense.
Ended up selling it & settled for a 6" Blue Planet foil SUP & a 7" 8" Fanatic Pro wave.
Thank you all for your input. It is so hard to make decisions in this whole enterprise because everything is evolving very quickly in boards, foils and wind wings.
I am waiting to find out if the Sunova is available. If not then I will look at the other options. I will be on Maui soon and will be able to see things live.
