Thumbs Up

A full raw run drone flight demonstrating the 'True Glide' free spinning propellor from Fliteboard in action

My surprising attempts at powerless foiling in in 13-15kn wind chop / junk conditions with a 1.5m swell and discussing the new wave tracking features and telemetry in the newly updated Flite app

I've had this prop for about 15 months and without the extra data from the new app, I never really bothered trying to use it in Perth windy conditions

But now you can see the progression it was quite engaging to at least dedicate a few sessions towards having a solid go

This session stats:
- Fliteboard Ultra Series 2.2 - 4'2" 54L
- Footstraps
- Flow 1300 / 245 wings with a 2 degree shim
- FliteCell Sport (lightest battery ~10kg)

- 31.1km distance
- 110 minute session
- 37.6kph top speed
- 87 powerless waves
- 47m average
- 4km total

Ironically in the top 3 waves of the session were the 1st wave in this video being the longest - 18 seconds / 110 metres and coming in 3rd was the 5th wave - 15 seconds / 95m

What's funny is that most foilers I know will be like "get a SUP / wing / prone blah blah" and most eFoil stereotypes would be like "oh that's to windy / choppy / hard to ride"

My personal opinion is that it's still too heavy to do anything performance wise and if you're that way inclined motorising an existing foil board with Foil Drive is probably the cheapest and easiest way to open up more rideable conditions

The point of an eFoil is that you ride it in different scenarios that aren't possible otherwise, but I am still keen to push the boundaries!
