www.zboatsurfboards.com/post/what-paddles-better-length-or-volume

I am finishing a 6'7 prone foil board contraption, no idea if it will fit with the conditions i have but i want to try the concept without spending too much on a Naish Ascend 7 or a Custom order.
So i got an old Fanatic Goya windsurf waveboard (90euros) and i am trying to hack&glue it into something foilable.
It is my first "build" so i will be proud even if she just floats :)

For paddling speed, rake is also really important

Rake is rocker?
This board has some rocker being a waveboard, but windsurf boards ride at pretty high speeds even when surfing so it is flat enough i think.

Ok,yes.
I have tried to visualize how the board will "sit" in the water and the foilbox is a bit deeper in the front than the back to compensate the tail rocker.
I can later fine tune with mast plate shims.I hope :)

Great article

Is this for DW prone?

Some are using hand paddles. Looks super dorky.

No, it is for beachbreak foiling.

My usual spots have no reef or sandbar, wave peaks and closes out pretty close to shore.
I am hoping this board will let me get into waves earlier with a better chance to escape on foil so i can pump out and catch the mellower rides outside.

Harder to pump at this lenght but i have removed mast, fin and strap inserts to cut weight and the foil box is as forward as the Naish S26 Hover Ascend so it should balance well.

That is my astute plan at least, we'll see if it works :)
