220 lbs - prone, downwinding, micro waves. I also push myself really hard in shallow water. Run aground in sand at speed.
Also worth noting, i run an old orange LF mast and machine my own fuselages.
Currently on a Naish 1240 HA. Moving from the 1400 HA to the 1240 HA was phenomenal. The speed boost grandted equal lift despite the lower surface area.
I want an even faster setup now, my criteria is keeping about the same surface area OR wingspan (going to step down in one but probably not both) and i want a THINNER wing section. (Drag = thickness^2)
The naish 1240 HA is at 21.5mm thickness
Axis HPS 930 is 19mm ish (but this one is out because the fuse is too annoying to machine)
I know the Lift 170 HA is thinner but concerned about durability - Opinions?
Love someone to throw calipers on the Moses w940, Kujira 1210, and anything thin and high aspect anyone else is riding (not interested in GoFoil or Armstrong)
also i'd love to have someone measure the Takuma fuse where it inserts into the wing (i think that connection is too small and my fat ass will bend it)
Lets limit this discussion to thin, high aspect, fast stuff. Please don't chime in on how much you love your midaspect, thick whatever. No hate, just want a focused discussion!

As for the Kujira thickness i am 600km away from my foils for the month ,sadly.
When i did the Armstrong A+ barrel nut mod to my Kujira i had to grind the screw 1-2mm shorter,so the Kujira foil is at least that much thinner than Armstrong on the outside where fuse inserts.Not much help i know.
Sorry for the OT but how do you machine the fuse insert section for a Takuma?
The part that inserts into the foil is conical overall,half is a curved side and the other half has flat planes somewhat like Armstrong.
Kind of a DIY nightmare.
Do you use the foil as a "mold" or some fancy CNC?

@mcrt the takuma is complicated for sure but doable, especially if I'm gonna pot it in epoxy. I'm honestly mostly concerned wether that parts gonna bend.
@piros Moat def for sure! I just live nowhere near other foilers so it's impossible to get
my hands on gear(expecially good stuff). Just want to know as much as possible before I get something. Also worth mentioning not a lot of production stuff had held up for me and half the production gear I've ordered has been unacceptable out of the box. Just want to avoid that drama.

Look for Mike Zaicheck custom foils. Maybe a 1000, lightwind windfoil racing.
The 90, at around 850 sq cm., is ridden up to nearly 45 mph by kitefoil racers.

At 220 Lbs, my Takuma gear has held up fine. You'll bend an old liquid force mast long before you bend that connection.

That LF mast is the bomb. I've been running the same mast since kite foiling in 2016. Back when I was running going wings for a min I bent the 7/8" square solid AL wing fuse.
mind measuring that piece where it goes into the socket so I can have a number?
We've run tests against the new naish AL stuff and stiffness and weight are identical. I'm really OCD about flex too, my only play is mast bend, otherwise there's 0 movement. I resurface my mast fuse on the mill every year or so and pott my wing connection any time it gets removed. I've also got my plate potted to the base for extra stiffness. Also also running a solid divinycell board with carbon for maximum power transmission
Its roughly 32mm at the widest point by 28.5mm high, in that funky shape they use to make sure they are as incompatible as possible with everyone else's product. I think it'd be easier to machine a Axis fuse, but you're the expert.
The Gong Veloce comes to mind but maybe not what you're looking for. The LT wingspan of 90cm, 1350cm2, volume 1.1L. profile 1.6cm thick.

I've made that gong fuse before so i'll definately give that one a try once its shipping!
