finally finished my version of the "barracuda" or a long, slim version of the displacement-pintail I made a few years back. Been on the bench for a while for various reasons but its so good to be back in the shapingbay and the water.
So, here it comes:
7'10" x 19" x 5 1/2. 4,8 kg
construction: low density EPS and high density PET double stringers at standing area. 6oz glass top and bottom. Biax carbon at standing + 0/90 heavy carbon over the stringers top and bottom. Long aloy boxes. Hopes are that it will be mighty stiff because of the two "I-beams"
shape: still true displacement with maybe a 15 cm flat area at boxes. Have added volume to the tail in hopes that it will sink less when bobbing up to fly-mode. We will see. Always easier to remove than add:) Front-Rocker is gradual from middle
