The boys at SurfFX asked me to have a run on the new North Sonar 1050 Full Carbon . Pretty impressed, this is a beautifully built foil , good weight and the Mast is amazingly stiff , I mean really stiff. Only had a few waves on it , super easy to ride but not the same low low stall speed of my Cabrinha 1000. Pump was really good and if you watch this video this is genuinely my first wave on it which is pretty impressive as I'm carrying a long camera pole. I won't be jumping ship but this is a really good foil.

Thanks Piros!
so does this long selfie stick float or if you lose your grip, she goooone?
do you run a tether or safety?

thanks for the tips

(btw the above "??" was an emoji)

No it doesn't float at all in fact it fills full of water if you put it under water , but you can drain it on the board . No tether either as I switch hands when I ride , watch the video you see me switch a few times . It also really throws off your balance even on a snow board , so pretty hard on the foil , I'm just very used to it .
