I'm looking at getting the aluminium Glide Surf setup with a large wing.
And purchase a medium wing additionally.

I've been told that the only difference between the 2019 and 2020 setup are the intro of the slim wings and the XL size wing.
Given that I'll be going for the low aspect wings, is there any other difference in the mast, fuselage etc or anything else?

I'm surprised that there isn't a difference between the 2 releases other than the new wings...

Sounds like BS to me. Those new foils coming with the red stripe are "all new" designed wings by kdmaui. Called the HPs.

I'd wait. I was told late August on them showing up at dealers.

Scroll down till you find a thread titled neil "pryde is back"

That has pretty much all the available info on the new NP wings

Thanks - I've actually seen that one...
That's what got me confused with the info I was told by a rather reputable wind sports shop...

The new wings with the red borders seem to be mostly slim fast wings...perhaps not best suited for a relative beginner?

Aside from the new wings there should be a carbon mast and possibly some small fuselage tweaks. better pump, weight, speed, and turning but you can basically do the same thing at home with a grinder and some sandpaper. Check out Rob Piros on Instagram and what he did to his fuselage. Other changes are a new factory so nicer parts. For a beginner the old wings are perfect! The M and L are super easy and give good performance for beginner to intermediate riders. Once you get the hang of foiling the new wings are a good upgrade for more speed, pump, and turning capability. They have a higher takeoff speed and more direct feel but once riding are no problem for an intermediate rider.

The red striped foils will be for the 2021 collection. The information you got is correct. For 2020 only the slim and XL were introduced. And they have added a carbon mast.

Here's some more info on above . 2020 saw the release of the Medium Slim , XL medium Aspect & 65cm carbon mast but before all that could make it to market NP ran into hard times . So only some of the Slims and a very few XL's became available but no carbon mast . More wings were already designed but it all stopped . NP has been taken over and things are rolling again .

2021 you will see 4 new wings . Small , Med , Large & new XL . Which are all high aspect and are now comparable to the Uni , Signature , Go Foil NL & new Axis HA wings . Very thin , narrower cord and flatter. The original medium Slim still available and still a good wing with similar performance but just that bit more forgiving . They also have one new rear wing and more on the way. You'll also see a more streamlined fuselage .

Plus the carbon mast will be available. Not everything will come out at once . Release date is supposed to be Sept/ Oct but due to COVID factory production and air frieght is severely disrupted , plus some skilled factory workers can't get back to the factory and limited 3 phase power supply has been limited to 3 days a week for some factories, plus other smaller factories that supply covers and other components have folded so delivery date is still a crystal ball ATM. This isn't just NP production but China in general.

Ive tested and ridden everything and the results are amazing . Very fast high performance wings and well suited to every foil genre , prone , Sup & the Large & XL are exceptional on the wing ding as well . The original medium Slim is also good on the ding . I've had a carbon mast for over a year and still going strong giving almost a 1 kg weight saving . I still use the Ali 82cm mast on the wing ding .

I also modified my fuselage to how the new ones will be rounding off the bottom sharp edges and stream lining it . I fully polished mine they won't be like that but you can easily do it the one you have now , again another great result with much better flow , pump & turning. The original NP rear wings still works great with the new wings . Check out my insta for more NP news. www.instagram.com/p/CEFuFmcDTJ1/?igshid=1fq1crsus7031
