kdmaui on instagram is supposed to be reviewing them for a magazine coming up. I see a lot of them for sale. I have never used them personally.
Thanks for that , was it a slow ride ? and did it turn well
The bigger Axis and Naish foils are not fast (in comparison to smaller foils), but they come up earlier, pump easily, maintain glide easily.
They are harder to turn and carve compared to smaller foils, but if you are using them with a 6 or 7 foot SUP, you will not notice as the swing weight of the board is the dominant factor.
I had no troubles carving on either of the big foils and enjoy the sensation a lot. My speeds on the flat water were only just getting to 15 knots max.....
OK thanks, I though maybe the new Naish jet foil range might be noticbly faster as they are a thinner profile than the 2019 series , but sounds like there's not a lot of difference , was hoping something in the middle between a HA and standard wing.
Looking for something in between ....... have a look at the new FANATIC AEROFOIL 1500, 2000 and 2500 . They are medium aspect with nice controlled lift, good speed and glide. They are very forgiving and not as twitchy as the current crop of HA foils. Theres a place for all aspects but the middle of the road is best for the average improver IMO.
