i have it. the Flow, not the Air. Heavier than the Foil Drive Max. Biggest complaint is you can't swap out batteries, so once you've used it up, you need to recharge. I've never gotten more than 40 minutes out of mine, but others say they get more. Of course, it all depends on throttle usage, so if you're constantly riding waves and don't need throttle, you'll get more water time.

Run duration is directly affected by water conditions and front wing size. In light onshore conditions riding a 1100sqcm wing I get about 55mins runtime per 498wh battery, I'm normally knackered after one battery.

But when the wind and swell pick up and I'm on a 877sqcm my runtime drops to 35-40 mins.

If I've driven any distance for actual surf rather than wind swell I'll often go through 4 x 498wh batteries, gives me almost 3 hours of surf time before I crawl into the car for the drive home and a well earned nap.

This is all on the Foildrive Max system.

Owned the original FoilDrive Assist and Assist Plus

I've got the Manta Flow which is 864Wh of battery. so, yes it's heavy

lots of power to dig you out of holes.

the remote is excellent, easy to see in sunlight with BIG fonts and symbols, easy to reconfigure power settings in the water. The remote is a sealed unit and doesn't have issues with springs breaking.
Zero Tow/Tow Boogie uses the exact same remote (supplied by Manta)

the new 3 blade metal props are very smooth and have given me more efficiency

im typically getting a minimum of 1hour to 1 hour 30 sessions which is mostly "hybrid foiling" so cruising around on foil looking for incoming waves then peeling off and motor foiling back out again. I haven't learnt to pump yet (spoiled by the foil assist) so if I actually pumped back like a real prone surfer, the run time would easy be 1 1/2 to 2 hours per battery
When my battery level gets down to 30.% I'll sit in the water and use the system to just "foil assist" onto waves and if I don't get a double dip straight up I'll drop back in the water and just wait for the next set.

i have managed to dead flat water start at an indicated 10% with a larger foil set I have the new sealed inrunner motor incoming, which is more powerful (heavier) but doesn't need internal rinsing, bearing maintenance etc.

I was an initial Indiegogo backer so the price was substantially less than the newly released Gen 2 and after the initial "teething problems" I'm really happy with my setup.

Local support in Sydney and Perth is excellent

1 hour 30 sessions max, not a great option if you can't swap batteries, a lot of coin to drop on something that doesn't quite do the job. I've yet to see a foil assist Foiler pump back out with a heavy system on the bottom of the board

New Foildrive controller being released later in the year according to their UK distributor and from what I hear it has some great functions.

Backup service out of Foildrive's Adelaide HQ is absolutely brilliant, they actually built the Foildrive's in house in Adelaide.
