And motivational. I am only using the 1070 Fireball in big waves, 8 - 15 feet see below, because it's harder to get up and "doesn't pump as well" as the bigger fireball(s). But clearly it does pump well.
Do you know what fuse and tail he was using with the Axis set up?

From memory 358/40 skinny rear and ultra short advance fuse. Man that 1070 is alot of foil and lift for big waves have you tried the 1000 it would handle it much better. It still has a ton of carry and lowish stall.
Subtle difference there. Great technique of course but he appears to be working a bit harder on the Code and clearly going much faster. The Axis appears to have the better sink rate but less glide yet it's significantly smaller. Could also just be the effort put forth at those particular moments...
