Asking for a friend: which should he pick now when transitioning to the GL 210 on a SUP?
He's 70Kg, intermediate level, surfing beach break, short waves, transitioning from the Iwa.

Also about the sizing:
Projected surface area is not specified so it's hard to tell how much stability it'll provide, can you advise regarding how much stability each size provides?

Hey mate,

Dylan from GoFoil Aus, GL210 is projected squares of 1493 & IWA was 1430, at 70kg he'll notice similar initial lift but much better glide.
For surfing I'd recommend the 6.5" pedestal with the 14.5 flip tip tail. This will shorten the fuselage length and give off a much nicer surf feeling. Once he gets used to the feeling of the GL210 at his weight I'd suggest dropping down to a GL140 or NL160

Feel free to reach out to me, all details on GoFoil Australia website

cheers
