First, thanks Casso to post these videos, they are quite interesting!

I have just a minor nitpick. I am sure James is quite mastering his board, and the perspective may make him appear closer to the other surfers/paddleboarders/bodyboarders out there, but it bothers me a little to show him riding so close to others. This seems a very dangerous example, that may be followed by the future beginning SUP foilers...

I known this can also be said of SUP and leashless surfing: videos of these practices in crowded spots (I known that what is considered crowded in OZ may be different :-) ) show a bad example.

If he is actually quite far from the other surfers, a warning in the video may be beneficial. Or a wide shot to show him in perspective?

Plus one, should be doing that away from everyone else.
Great way of getting sups ban from an area.

It definitely looks closer in the vid than it was on the day. He was on a completely separate bank to the surfers. James came in as soon as the junior life savers started training in that area.

I can't help but agree with the concerns mentioned above
OK in the hands of a very skilled rider but what happens when others start having a go
Even as someone who rides a SUP,as well as all shortboards, I can't help but think that these things are another level of danger to others
That foil could be lethal
Sorry to post in such a negative way Casso,I always love your vids-I don't have an answer either

Yes Chopsup Bert at Sunova is working on it right now. James will bring it home after his next trip.

As much fun and challenging as they look, I hate the thought of these things being anywhere near other people. I think as they become more popular it is inevitable that some users will be irresponsible.
This video makes it looks like its ok to use it at a populated area.

Keep away.... Pleeease

What are these things like to paddle? They must have abit of drag in them when you are paddling out

I think the main appeal for these are small runners and open ocean swells. Just watching kai, zane, casey and the like you can see thaey have a turing circle of a bus when at speed. You can see how much effort it takes in the feet and positioning.

Just a little demonstraition of perhaps one of our best ever watermen. Jimmy is a naturally gifted young surfer that just gets better each session.
