Does anyone know where to get track plate mount m8 bolts & nuts for cheap? One brass nut can cost between 12 to 13 dollars each!
The brass t nuts are more of a priority & hard to find but the stainless bolts I would say would be a more standard item at a hardware store etc.

Kite surf & windsurf shops will have them, sniff around for some old windsurfer boards and mast mounts and recycle from there. M8 Brass T-Nuts are the Bane of my life , constantly loosing & breaking the fackers. Naish have really nice and simple M6 pressed S/S ones if your base plate suit M6.

Just had the same issue sourcing nuts for new slingshot hover glide.
I sourced stainless steel bolts/screws easily and cheaply locally for 80c each (got 25mm and 30mm sets-on piros suggestion).
The T-nuts were a little more elusive but most windsurf shops do have them. Ended up getting 6 X M8 brass t-nuts from a shop in Victoria. $5 a pop and had them popped into an express post bag to get to me in NSW....As I need them ASAP
Slingshot sells brass ones for their foils on their site...which is why I went for brass...but I don't think it matters too much (brass v stainless)
Can't recall the windsurf shop name i got the t nuts but their number was....03959826827
I would recommend to get Torx or hexagonal screw heads. The Phillips or Pozidriv ones wont last long.

I need them to bolt the mast to the board when I epoxy the track mount in to get it square to the board. And obviously when I use it. Better than duct tape!
Thanks Colas. I should be able to get some allen key (hex socket), countersunk bolts from local hardware or industry supply shop.
Just take note guys. When buying cheaper version foils that you ask for the T nuts! They probably cannot provide them.
Yes. Maybe I should have been a bit more patient & saved a bit more for a well known brand. Saved about $300.
Mine came with a few scratches & a small burr, chip at the back of the wing that I think customs caused as the metal fuselarge was scraping over the wing. It was not in its foam recess under the wing.
They may have just shoved it back in the box. But hey I cannot prove it. Could also have been from manufacturer. Anyway, very minor issue & very easily fixed. But I aint got time!

Phillips should last for a long time if your not over tightening them and using the right size screw driver!

Phillips cannot last. As they are conical, mechanically the screwdriver tip wants to disconnect and ruin the head.
Pozidriv are a bit better, though. Some sides of the head imprint are vertical.
But once you have used Torx or Hex heads, you cannot understand why on earth anybody would still want to use Phiilips heads. Especially with foils where you must tighten them very hard.
The first thing I do with all new Ali plate mounts foils is change out all the Allen head screws because you can have up to 15 bolts with 3 different Allen head sizes absolute pain in the arse and inevitably you will be missing one of the Allen keys. By going to the Pozidrive screw head matched to the correct sized screwdriver you can't go wrong , one size head does the lot and screws in super fast not like an Allen key where you can only get 1/2 turms next to the mast . The Pozidrive is wide with a flattened point that sets deep with a square head and gets great purchase to lock it in and no slipping. My Slingshot set ups are over a year old and I have never burred a head. You can also carry just one stubby nosed Pozi screwdriver in your pocket to adjust foil position or retighten anything in the water.
As bolt size change in Allen head bolts so does the size of the Allen key , not the case in Pozidrive on a foil set up .
Even on this narrow gauged screw it still has a full sized Pozidrive head

You know you can get removable tips in hex and torx size for your screwdriver handles and electric drillers? Why use an allen key?
You should invest in proper tools.PS: Pozidriv have the same 6 sizes as Phillips.
Hey Luke from Oceanaddicts. Those nuts & bolts you sent me are M6 size not M8 just to let you know. Maybe the ones you have shown above are M6 too.
All good though. They fit anyway.
Local hardware store has different length M6 bolts too.

In France, I just googled and found 3-4 sites.
Most common stainless steels will be A2 or A4. Avoid A2, it will not survive long exposures to salt water.
Titanium alloys will be more durable, but also more expensive, I don't think it is worth the extra cost (ten times more for me) compared to A4
Try to also buy stainless Torx/Hex screwdriver heads, the normal ones rust fast if in contact with salt water.

M6 316 grade 25mm Socket or Allen head counter sunk is what you want any good nut and bolt shop has it . Not hardware stores. Torx head ( like security screw heads) are too hard to get. Here's a link to order on line but you should be able to buy local. If you are packing the back of your plate with a wedge get a couple of 30mm bolts as well . Check measure bolt length you have now before ordering on line.

Colas is correct - Phillips headed screws are designed for automation never really intended for repeated use in and out. Allen heads on the other hand are designed to be used repeatedly.
We've got tonnes of M8 bolts guys, OA can have them in stock 
M8 Brass sliders we stock also.
It's not a Naish product, but we also have decades of windsurfing spares and tidbits.
