It was technically no easy feat to capture a full single-take tracking 'raw run' drone shot of a foiler downwinding 500m offshore in 20kn winds - but with the right gear and the Skydio 2+ - I think you'll agree that we nailed it!
You definitely nailed it! Great clip and riding. I'm interested to know what the board and foil setup was? Thanks
Beautiful all around! I bet you were stressin that range. The foiler with mad skills appears to be carving/pumping off of the back of the waves with a cutback. So sick! The better one gets, the more energy becomes available. ART 1099? Thanks

He's on a Sunova Aviator 6' and the AXIS ART999 - not sure which stab I think it might have been the 420 chopped

Check him out @foil_perth on IG - he does some wild runs over here in WA!
Yeah for this shot he paddled out to position - I launched the drone from the beach - flew over and 'found' him - put the drone in position - ran up to the bike path and jumped on my eSkate - then when he was up on the foil I had to pace him at 25kph to keep the Controller in range with VLOS whilst dodging pedestrians and getting blinded by the setting sun praying the drone was in the right spot haha!
Squeezed out a 20 minute flight out with 6ish minutes setting up at the beginning before the run - then he was up on the foil for about 12 minutes, which is about 4km - and just commandeered the drone and flew it back to shore when the battery was getting low
