What board size to choose? Body weight +20 or +30L? Longer and narrower? How to choose your first DW board? Start off big and then realise you should have gone smaller or other way round.
Then the next question is foils. Can you start off using your wing foils? Like HA925 or or go bigger or go home?

If you ride a sup in the surf whats your weight and current lowest volume? Most people will end up going longer if DW in the ocean. narrower the faster through the water, but harder to balance on. I ride a Kalama 7'10 x 19.5 - 102L Barracuda I'm 78kg.Foil - bigger is better, foiling is hard and DW is hardest, make it easy on yourself. match the foil to speed of the bump. example if i do a east coast run in marginal wind ill use a 1150 or 1300, good days 850, Maliko run iv used under 800, Bay runs 1400- 1770 as they dont have swell.
