Hi guys. I've been messing around with flat water pumping since the lockdown and am hooked. I'm looking to upgrade from an old wake surf board (3'11", 18" wide, 16ltrs and 5.5kg) that I modified to mount a foil to a proper surf foil board. I have the opportunity to buy either a Takuma (4'4", 18" wide, 39ltrs, 2.4kg) or a Suns/Sunova (4.0' , 21" wide, 32ltrs and around 3.1kg). The Takuma is longer, lighter & narrower with a tad more volume, and the Suns/Sunova has a bit less volume, is slightly shorter but a touch wider and heavier. Any opinions on which would be the best board out of these 2?
Although my main reason for buying this board is flat water pumping, I would also be using it for wake foiling and wing foiling (in high winds) as well, so need to consider these as well, hence the reason for going up in volume from 16ltrs, as it isn't really needed for FW pumping or wake foiling, but would certainly help for water starts when wing foiling. I know the differences are marginal but every little helps - does lighter weight trump the shorter length for pumping? Would I regret not having the extra volume for wing foiling? Am I overthinking/worrying over nothing?????
FYI - I recently switched from GoFoil 280, 200 & IWA to GL 240 & 180 and am LOVING them!!!!!

I'd go with the 39 liters if you are planning to use it for winging in any capacity. It'll just be more well rounded. Shorter might pump slightly better on dock starts.
