Hi Guys
Can you share here what is your favorite Combo for Pumping !
I am learning with a Maliko 280 and the red rear wing.
The best ive had so far is with the axis 1020 with their smallest back wing (400)
pretty keen to have a crack at the new axis 1000 or 900 for pumping though
I learned to pump on the M200 and Kai tail.
You have to find a forward mast position that makes the thing flare up really strongly when you get it moving..so you can just control it....that way it will come up to meet you when you raise your legs and you can glide it down with front foot pressure.
now I prefer Iwa and a tiny board helps too
No other Dock starter here ? I can start with zero speed with my Maliko 280 and the Kai rear Wing but i tried with the M200 front wing and it was a lot lot harder.
Anyone here doing dock start with zero speed ?

Yep Ive dock started that wing plenty, will definitely be harder of course but its really just in the timing of the leap and first pump,
I had the maliko back wing, not sure how much different to dock start with kai rear?
Dunno I just found it easier to have the Kai with the 280 as this thing is a Bus and the red rear help me have a better pump Rythm.
I have to try again with the M200

I am sure there are plenty of other guys on here Docking but just not doing it the same as you!! ![]()

I'm here on Maui now & just tried the new GoFoil GL240 in the surf & then for my 2nd downwinder in 6 months....Got to say it's pretty awesome (see review)
The GoFoil M280 is definitely the wing to learn downwinding on but the new GL's are next level for pump & glide... Alex, Dave Kalama & Tomo are doing back to back Maliko runs on either the GL180 or 240 without touching down...
Photo of New GL240 & Iwa 1.5....30% lighter & fitted straight on to my exisiting 29.5" mast...

The GL 240 looks smaller in surface than the IWA, must be more difficult than the M200 and even more the M280 to get it up.

And how do the Axis s102 and the Gofoil M280 compare?
All these new HA wings are to small for me for flat water pumping and dockstarts!
I am really curious to see how the M280 and the Axis 1020 compare too.
i pump a Maliko 280 on dock start ( I am 65kg ) I ll give a feedback on the Naish 2020 2000 wing soon I just received it.
First thing I noticed is that the Naish Jet foil don t float while the m280 and the M200 floats
A little feeeback on the Naish Jet foil 2000.
It it was tricky to dock start it compared to the M280. The foil don't float and is quite heavy. When you start to pump it it become a whole new toy.
Very good speed and a lot of surf feeling. Love it ! The Naish abracadabra system is just brilliant too.
After one session I can say I prefer this one than my M280 for dock starts. It will be a lot better in the surf also
