CO 2 Detectors are only $37 at Bunnings, think I'll get one, better alive than not!
In NSW we are supposed to have a smoke alarm in a bedroom area, so will add this alongside my smoke alarm

Note that it's the Carbon Monoxide (CO) , not Carbon Dioxide (CO2) that is the lethal gas. You need a Carbon Monoxide monitor.

Pretty easy to avoid, don't operate gas fueled equipment in an unventilated area.

Yes very sad. Its surprising how many are still unaware of that kind of risk. Last year same thing happened to a family in a cabin. I got rid of the gas on Trek because of worry about kaboom, and we use our metho stove for heating. Its a bit slower but less of a worry.

Happy to be corrected but l think any fuel can create CO poisoning.

Explosion is different.
