hi
thank you for letting me join this site ..
I have recently purchased a hood 23 ,and need your help. the boat I purchased has had the standing rigging disassembled ,mast stripped as well. I am unable to get enough information / diagrams to re-rig the boat .any help would be very appreciated.

I have a copy of the Hood 23 Constitution which sets out rigging etc details. Can't post it here as it's in PDF format but drop me an email and I'll send it to you.

Bashed down to adventure bay yesterday for a fish. Pretty crappy sea all over the show. Came back this morning.

So where on this planet do you reside? Obviously not Sydney, they are everywhere there and just take a wander around and take photos. There is a shallow draft Hood 23 here but it has no rig.
The rig is the usual twin lowers set up that was pretty standard in the mid sixties on Endeavor 24's Hoods and Southerly 23 etc.

I have a running joke that in every marina in Australia, somewhere there is a Hood 23!
Sailed them heaps as kids! They were a very strong class with high attendance at Nationals etc.

Hi sydchris. I have a Hood 23 pop top with a swing keel, but have recently lost my keel after the cable snapped. The keel is resting somewhere on the bottom of the Tweed River. I was wondering if you have (or know where I might find) specs to have another keel made?

Hi Sydchris. I would really appreciate a copy of the Hood 23 constitution if possible. Does it contain details of the swing keel?

One minute Google search.

sailboatdata.com/sailboat/hood-23

And a sales video, if you freeze it you can see the rigging

Sorry to bring bad news but getting a new keel made will probably cost more than the boat is worth. If the keel dropped near your mooring it might be possible to find it.
