Does anyone know the cause of the fire?

The bloke in the face book clip said someone was letting off fireworks and one landed in the boat

The guy in that video is an absolute toss! Wonder what he does when he sees a house fire?

people are quick to judge others when they may be just having a bit of fun.
that clip on face book was from zu boardsports page who i believe were having a farewell party on the beach in front of there shop and pretty sure the fireworks comment was a gag all in good humour but sad for the guy whose boat burnt for what ever reason

It's unfortunate that we never seem to get any feedback from these sort of accidents. I have not heard a single thing about the Adams 31 that caught fire and sank in the river here a few weeks ago. Normally all we hear from these aquatic accidents from the media is the victims were not wearing lifejacket!

Good to see The Zu seem to have taken their tasteless commentary down. Call me strange but I wouldn't have thought 'bit of fun', 'gag' or 'good humour' very apt in relation to watching someones yacht burn to the waterline.

Associated with this is the post in the Cruising Helmsman weekly news site just posted yesterday.

They showed a yacht fire in Pittwater for this story.

Also noticed a story on a couple of swimmers in Dunedin NZ, and they showed a NSW police boat.

Apart from little reporting what we are getting is real lazy stuff!!

Hope no one was injured in St Kilda, they sorta haven't said??

Well Im glad it happened at the marina for him not out at sea . Its unfortunate thats its happened wish someone did safety reporting on cruising vessels .
Would be nice even if insurance companies had a web page describing some of there claims so it made all of us more aware.
Work safe do it in Vic , pity there was not more if it

This UK government web site is very interesting to read about how thing go wrong and perhaps it might help someone prevent it happening to them

If you look at leisure craft section there are a number of reports about yachting incidents www.gov.uk/maib-reports

I have a bit of a gas leak I can smell in my garage if I leave the gas on , I suspected something when my dvk alarm kept alarming, so far I have cooked a few roasts,BBq and pasta dishes without any issue but it's making me feel a bit concerned and I will get a certificate done next week.

It is OK on a boat if you don't get your gas installation right.

If you have got it wrong and have a bilge full of gas, when you light up it will be your last act.

I'm speculating the fire on the Adams 31 was probably trying to start a metho stove. Solo old bloke motoring down the river.
