electrolytic rust removal
I am not into guns or gun restoration, but this vid demonstrates how good-home made electrolytic rust removal can be.

Electrolysis works very well at rust removal as does molasses which works more slowly.
That looks more tarted up now than when it left the Webley factory back in about 1897. Also it's not functional, the cartridge extractor is not working nor is the spur that rotates the cylinder on pulling the trigger.
Fascinating to watch how much rust came off, but I got nervous when he hit it with the 320g. Then I was screaming at the screen by the time he put that phillips head screw in finger guard!
