Hi all

My garage is getting quite full and I'll soon be buying another car to go in there. My problem is what to do with my dinghy.

It's 10 foot 6 and weighs 100lbs or 3200mm and 45kg. I'm wondering if this is too heavy to mount from the ceiling joists with a kayak mount like this one.

Extreme Max 3004.0204 Kayak/Canoe/Bike/Ladder Hoist & Lift for Storage in Shop or Garage - 120 lb. Capacity,Black : Amazon.com.au: Sports, Fitness & Outdoors

It states a weight capacity of 120lbs giving me a 20lbs or 9kg safety margin.

Any tips, ideas, or other options will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike.

Wouldn't worry me, but I would run a support cable or chain to the upper part of the truss (or roof structure) after mounting it to the ceiling support.

That's a good idea, thanks.
