Hi all, out of curiosity, I saw the cavalier 28 "mojo" advertised on youtube by Yoti. she was built in 2003 by Wayne Richardson who purchased and imported the Moulds from NZ. does anyone know if the cavalier 28 moulds still exist?

I looked at them in a factory in Toronto in about 2007 with a view to building a couple but it just wasn't viable compared to the imports. Wayne owned them then.

Cheers Troubadour, do you or anyone else know if Wayne is still in Toronto? I would certainly like to contact him if anyone can help? I have been looking for the plans and moulds for most of this year. I got in touch with Laurie davidson and unfortunately he never kept any copies.. I contacted Dave Blundell who originally commisioned and built the design to see if he had anything, but still no luck as he sold the plans and the rights to James Lawry of Export Yachts. lastly I contacted James Lawry and have found that the build plans for both the davidson 28 and 35 ( cavalier 28 / 37 ) went missing after the company went into receivership. once the company was bought back, the plans were lost in that period and have never been recovered since.

Wayne lived in Champion road Gladesville when I met him. From memory he had some of Laurie's drawings
I specifically remember him talking about the keel drawings. Apparently Laurie was pedantic about his foils. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Guy Keon's son is on here maybe he can shed some light
